The Governed Agent

An AI operations agent that can look up orders, issue refunds, update your CRM and email customers. Every action it tries passes a written policy check before it runs, and every decision lands in an audit log you can verify.

How it works

The agent never acts on its own say-so. It proposes an action, and a written policy check decides what happens next: the action runs, it waits for a manager, or it's blocked.

Whichever way it goes, the decision lands in an audit log you can verify, so you can see exactly what it tried and why it was allowed or stopped.

Every action takes this path. There's no side door.

The rules it plays by, in plain English

  1. Big refunds wait for a manager

Any refund over $100 is held until a manager approves it.

  2. No splitting refunds to sneak under the limit

If smaller refunds to the same customer add up to more than $150 within 24 hours, the next one waits for a manager too.

  3. One customer at a time

It can't look up or change another customer's orders.

  4. Email only goes where it should

It can only email domains already on file for that customer.

  5. Sensitive numbers never leave

Card numbers and Social Security numbers are blocked from any outbound email.

  6. Limited CRM edits

It can update phone, address and preferences. Changing a customer's email address needs approval.

  7. Rate limits

It can only take so many actions in a set window of time.

  8. Customer details are redacted first

Customer details get redacted before the AI ever sees them.

  9. Unknown actions are blocked

If an action isn't covered by a written policy, it doesn't run.
